How do you manage?
I'll tell an insurance story.......
I moved here to VA and I am getting the third degree. I was stationed here for 4 months for advanced training in the Army. I bought a car to roll around in (a junk Cutlass) and it broke down after a month. I threw the title in the front seat and said whoever wants it can take it. I never got the car on any insurance policy. Well.....7 years later I relocate to VA because of my job. They say I have a suspended driver's license in VA (I never had a VA license), and can't operate a car here unless I prove I had insurance on the Cutlass, or pay $1000 in fines plus get a SR22. I told the lady the car was junk, broke down, and I left it here. She said it didn't matter if the car was running or not. I had to have prove I had insurance on the Cutlass before 3/01. It was registered in my name, and therefore needed insurance. I offered to show my orders which had me leaving VA in 12/00 for Korea. I said I wasn't even here in '01. They don't care. I told her to go pound sand up her azz plus some other nasty things, and then was escorted out by the armed guard. California isn't as bad as VA and MD. I have my permanent address in Washington, and just leave my car registered there. I wouldn't register my car in this facist state anyway. You have to register with the state, county, and city, plus pay 'personal property' tax on your car, and get emissions/safety inspection. Screw that noise. The federal government should stage a coup here and take the state over. They make laws here that are unconstitutional in my opinion. At least in the NoVA area. The closer you get to DC the more crazy things get. It surprises me this country even runs.

75/mo for the 2004, through State Farm, and that's for full coverage plus glass and a 500 deductible. That also includes 3 speeding tickets in the last 2 years, and one not at fault "act of god" accident.

I'm going to start my own insurance company here pretty soon, anybody want to join? Its going to be called Bendover & Takeit...

$82.73 a month. No collision or any of that, but I figure paying $200-300 a month isn't really worth it considering my car's only worth about 4-5 grand and I'd have paid it off and have nothing to show for it after a year or two.

The mustang would be around a 98 or 99, 4 runner would be 96 or 97 more than likely. I will try to find out what it costs for me on the 90 4 runner so i can see how much more it will be. Do you think it would be much cheaper on a v6 mustang?

There is a BIG diffence in those two years. I'd say 99 for the extra power but I really like the 98's styling

20 YO, 1 ticket (erased off record...took DD so my insurance went DOWN after the ticket haha), 04 GT.

$110 per month Oh yea, and that is for FULL coverage.

Bike costs me I believe $76 per month for liability.

That is the joy of Texas. Take DD and the ticket is gone. You can do it once a year I believe. Washington is once every seven years, and I think in Virginia they just take your azz to jail for spitting out the window. I heard anything over 10mph over posted limit is reckless driving in VA. I got busted in Texas doing 98 in a 70 on I-37 leading to Corpus Christi. The trooper let me go, and said, "slow down, and there are faster cars I'm after today." I got a ticket for 79 in a 70. That road is like the Autobahn. I was passed by a Vette that had to be doing 130+. Even minivans were passing me while I was doing 85-90. That is why I like it in the West. Except Cali.

^HAHA yea people around here move out pretty good on any freeway. If im in my car I usually wont go over 75 on the freeway (65 limit) behind traffic...if im alone I go 68-70ish.
HOWEVER if im on my busa I pretty much pick the fastest driver and follow LOL...but sometimes people are still going too fast for me. I am generally running 80-85+ following people and sometimes people still walk past.

And I love the DD thing . People I have talked to have taken it multible times in one year...just have to send a request into the DA I believe, and they pretty much just accept your request everytime. All they care about is the money....so if you get a ticket, send em their money and your good.

NO love for the american muslce..they actualy look for s**t just to pull you over..."um those tires are to wide, you need mudflaps"....WTF

Defensive driving is the best ever. I don't mind paying the tickets or fees, I just don't want it on my record DD lets it get washed off your record, and you get to send in a little piece of paper saying you took a driving course for lower insurance. Of course the insurance companies aren't dumb, but the ticket isn't on your record, so legally they can't charge you for it. I lived in Texas from birth to adulthood. I got my license there at 16, plus about six tickets for speeding or excessive accelaration. None of them are on my record. No points system either. That place is the best for drivers. I want to move back, but my job has me stuck in Facist-ginia.
