What are you paying for insurance??

Im not sure exactly what year im looking at, it may be 96 or 97. Im gonna have around $6000 to spend (if i go through, i have a 1990 gmc with a 6 inch lift and large tires and i love the truck, just not the 12mpg, and i am considering selling it). Im trying to figure out what i am paying for insurance right now, then get a quote on a mustang. If i put that my primary vehicle is my dads 1990 4 runner (i will be on their policy) and then say the mustang is a secondary vehicle, would my insurance be cheaper? Since i am only gonna spend 6000 or so on the car, i am only gonna have liability. Thanks.

about 45 a month for full coverage. No wrecks, no tix.

If you figure in the GTO, our vehicle insurance per month is about 110 a month. Mustang is about 45, Yukon is around 47 and the GTO is 180 a year. My YFZ450 is 80 a year :D

I plan on insuring my John Deere garden tractor when I get it too. Once you have an ATV stolen, you tend to get insurance :(

forgot to add. I'm 32. The car is in the wife's name. It's on a 7500 miles or less "leisure" use policy. We really don't drive it much

I've got two speeding tickets, and a drag racing ticket. I was paying $320/month for full coverage $500 deductible, and then I got married and we insured the wife's Hyundai Accent and the stang for only $190/month. That's full coverage and a $250 deductible. So if you want to save some money....get married!! (but buy the stang first, cause the wife probably won't let ya!) BTW I am with state farm...

How do some of you pay so little??!!!
Maybe its just us in Ontario,Canada that pay out the ying yang like everything else :nonono: .
I pay 259.21 every month :bang: ,and it went up 5 bucks more per month this year  ,and that is for my 2003 Mustang GT,and my 1995 4 door Dodge Spririt (family car/daily driver) .Both have full coverage, and i have a clean record, and am 33 years of age with wife and 4 year old kid ...... :owned: And that is good compared to some around where i live  .
I paid less when i was younger, wilder, crazier, and after i hit 25,the insurance companies here just kept lifting the premiums :nono: .

Please, none of you have it worse than New Jersey...and New Jersey just got a little better too. I pay like maybe $1100-1200 for a 6 mo policy for full-coverage w/$500 deductible. The GT isn't insured, but I was paying about the same on a different company. Stupid Liberty Mutual wanted $3200 a year for the Cobra...no way.

I'm 23, 0 points, state-approved driver's improvement program, but some history of moving violations (Ins co. checks back 5 years, sucks).

I have a 2004 GMC 2500HD crew cab 4x4 SLT and my 2003 cobra. I am 28 married and have 3 kids. My last insurance policy was included with a job I had since I had to use my truck. I went to American Family to get insurance and since I hadn't had insurance in my name in the last 6 months, I got stuck paying a higher rate for the first 6 months. It was $405 a month for both vehicles. 500 ded on the cobra and 1000 ded on the truck.
Then after the first 6 months, it went down to $220 a month for both. Now 500 ded on both the car and truck.

Dont think i mentioned that im in arkansas. My brother has a 96 mystic cobra, and he started out at 218 per month when he was 18 (he is 3 years older than me). Would mine be pretty close to his? (He had full coverage im guessing since he has a loan on the car) How much cheaper can i expect liability to be? Thanks.

18, under $350 annualy full coverage.

If your young and cant afford a full blown insurance payment if you are able to get on your parents plan it really helps out and gives you a feel for keeping up with a larger payment when you get on your own policy.
