replacing the gaskets in my race engine right now and realized i have always used stock replacement felpro gaskets. not their high performance ones... just stockers. i should prolly try something a little more robust. what part numbers are you guys using? iron block and heads. stock bore 5.0

I've used Felpro many times in the past with success. Also the Factory Ford 3-piece gaskets on my Modular.

I've never used them myself, but I've also heard many speak hightly of the Cometic Gaskets Domestic Auto

I have used Fel Pro on my carbed 5.0's since the 80's with no issues. Both the 9333 that someone mentioned and the 1100 number, which, iirc, is the performance gasket. Have the 1100 type on the 82's engine and have numerous passes and sprayed passes with iron Gt40 heads, no issues.

1133 is felpro .040 thick and 4.100 bore... That would be my choice! That is what the shop I work at uses on their engines. 8XX hp 358ci n/a

I like cometics . . . but they require a very clean/smooth surface which isn't so conducive to a quick rebuild in the garage.

I wouldn't buy anything other than a 9333 just because they are cheap, durable, and you can get them easily.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
