Actually you laugh but a 4x5 camera is infinitely better than any, read any, digital camera made in terms of picture quality. Film just rules. Having said that I find 4x5 to be expensive in processing and a crap shoot when in comes to knowing what you captured. I shoot an old Nikon N2000 SLR and a d-80 with the 18-135mm kit lens and always am surprised by the quality of the 35mm camera in comparison to the digital; however, I shoot primarily digital because of the convenience.
