Hey guys, I have a birthday coming up and my girlfriend is going to get me something for my 08 GT. The limit is at 100 bucks, I was looking through American Muscles website and found some stuff, but I'd like something that will give me more power. I know 100 dollars won't do much for that, but what about a throttle body spacer? I have heard they are a waste of money and don't do anything.

Steeda 4.6L Intake Throttle Body Spacer (05-10 GT) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Thanks for the help

i have heard the same about the spacer. but jeggs has a jet maf sencor for about $100. i got it for my 07 v6 and i did feel a small difference. it felt more peppy with a more crisp throttle responce. they claim 10 hp gain. and i can personally vouge for them. easy to install and instant difference. now for a hundered bux, that's about it unless you want to install ehaust dumps. the are about 50 a piece from summit. they have them for bolt up apps so you can install them yourself. you can also get a set of msd superconductor wires for about $75, but i'm not sure if you will feel anything with your stock ignition system. other than that, i can't think of anything.

How about some detailing stuff for when the weather gets nice. You aren't going to get very far with $100. I wouldn't spend it on something just for the sake of spending the money. You might be able to find something small for the interior. About the cheapest mod I did was to paint my rear fake gas cap flat black, I like how it came out.

I wouldnt put it towards performance, anything you do get for under 100 bucks is gonna be a waste in my mind. I would either put it towards interior/exterior or some good cleaning supplies.

I hate to join the $100 isn't gonna do anything bandwagon, cause I know you're trying to geT something to make it more yours. But seriously, the spacer won't help. Consider saving the money until you can afford either a tuner or underdrive pulleys. Either will get something you can feel and you won't feel like you wasted money that was hard to come by.

Yeah, I really want to do some stuff to make it faster like a CAI and tuner. I didn't think the throttle body plate would do much anyway, I thought I'd ask to be sure though. I think I'll get either detailing supplies, door sills, floor mats, or a shift knob. I'm not sure yet. Anyone have any other ideas?

Yeah, not much you're going to be able to get, performance wise, for $100... Just go with some int/ext mods or get her to give you a gift card so you can put it towards that CAI & tune you want.

Definately dont get the throttle body sppacer, I have heard wayyy too many bad things about them most coming from people on here.. I am going to have to agree your not going to find much performance wise for $100. My girlfriend actually got me sequential turn signals and I love them.. It was small but awesome and kinda fun

Something I considered at one time for about $60 or so (may be less now) was a short shifter. That or some stripes/decals. Otherwise I personally haven't seen much performance wise under $100

Kick in 20 bucks of your own to go wth her 100 and get some sequentials. Or if you go with the splice-in kit , it'll be under 100.

I already have HID's, they came stock on the car. I am thinking of doing sequentials.
