If I have about $5-6000 to spend in what condition do you think I could find a classic mustang. And in that condition could I get it in good working order and looking good with $3000 dollars to fix it. Thanks alot im hoping I can find an older mustang.

Also consider body condition over running condition. Body work is generally more expensive to fix than a rough running engine. 2K on body work goes really quick which will probably rebuild a 302 three times or so. Area really determines what condition and how much people are asking for their cars and also what year you are looking for. I think you can get a decent 68 with some room for parts as an average guess of their value.

I live in FL, but I might look in other drier places. I have heard arkansas is a good place to look. There was this one guy who lived by me with an old falcon which I wanted but he sold it.

5 to 6 grand will put you in a nice 65/66. Be patient as believe it or not some people get "burned" out after doing the "show car" thing for a year or two. Then they are off to Harley's or heaven forbid Chevrolet's.

Take your time and you will find a good ride.
