Wow, this is driving me nuts. The car pings when coasting down after putting the car in neutral. Just the slightest hint of gas makes it ping. It just freakin pings everywhere. It's gotta be something mechanical. I could see if it detonated under a heavy load, but not when downshifting.

It wouldn't ping as it does with 8* base timing, and 20 overall controlled by the chip. i've been putting 104 octane boost in her for the past two tanks. It runs really really cool too. I just don't know. I've posted this already many times, and have checked everything suggested by you guys. I've talked to people at the local stang shop and keep getting told to check the same things i've already checked, ie: timing, fuel pressure, fuel filter, o2 sensors, ACT, ECT, MaF, pull the chip to see if its that, check my grounds, check for vaccumm leaks. No one has yet to mention anything mechanial though like valves or push rods or something. I think i'll pull the vc's and see if any pushrods are bent or anything. sorry for the length, please help.

Thats odd...I see you have Thumpers...Mine always freakin pinged...never could get it to go away...once I did the heads...gone...i cant get the freakin thing to ping...not even at 18 deg timing....I was under the assumption the E7s were the culprit... your prob blows that theory....

you ran a top end cleaner thru it....got a good tune....plugs were all Black...what do they look like now??? Crudded up again or cleaned up???
