What cold air intake to buy?

Hey ya'll,

Im ready to buy a cold air intake for my stang, adn all i see on Ebay is a Bomz brand. What is the deal with this company, are they any good? Thanks

yup, make your own or buy a cheap one off ebay. The only reason the Mac and other brands sell for so much is because your paying for name brand. There the same kits and there all only going to give you about 2 hp gain. But hey, it looks/sounds cool.

Guys if he is a newbie he might not want to have to fab something up. Yeah when u buy BBK or MAC u are paying for the name but u are also paying for a C.A.R.B. EO #, Most of those cheap ass intakes arent smog legal. I dont know if u need it to be legal or not. But MAC and BBK are easy to install and have good directions. Go for it.

Thanks guys. My cousin made his own out of PVC pipe and the duct taped it for the "chrome look" on his 87 GT, but hes a bit of a redneck

its easy to do and not ghetto or redneckish(is that a word?)...well duct taping it for the "chrome look" is but here is mine....its not painted but i plan to paint it laser red to match the car....maybe with some sort of sticker on it....

Well i bought the Bomz setup for $46, we shall see how it works out. Also ordered new Mac unequal length headers from proficcient performance for $179
