what color red???

i have a '89 mustang gt with the bright red. i dont know the name of it and i was posting to see if someone did. plus, i was going to have the body stripped this winter and have it repainted close to the original color as possible. what color should i go for??? thx in advance.

Is it this color? If so, PM ALMOSTSTOCK and ask him the specifics. He just had his car re-painted a few months back and I am sure it is fresh in his mind.

Go to www.mustanggt.org and they have a data plate decoder for each year of fox body GT's. All you need to do is enter the code (found on the sticker inside the drivers door jamb) and it will tell the original color of your car.

It's probably Vermillion Red. Definitely check out the paint code in the door. Sometimes the same code has different names from car to car or even year to year on the same model car. It could be called Bright Red one year and Vermillion Red the next and be the exact same paint code.

just what i had suspected, like i put it up top # 21, bright red....no cool names for my paint then....lol
