What control arms are you running?

Hopefully yours are the XD's! I know mine are slightly noisy to my friend who drives a quiet Civic, but in reality with the Magnapacks on and the stereo up I can't hear any NVH. There is a slight hum from road noise with the radio off and idling, and there isn't any vibration and the harshness is to be expected with a LCA with spherical bearings! They made a huge difference in the jump from Steeda's HD LCA's with Urethane bushings.

I've got the HD's (poly on one end, spherical on the other) and they work perfectly for me. I don't drag race or road race my car though. Made a tremendous improvement over stock and the ride quality didn't suffer one bit :nice:

I've been using white lithium grease for the bushings (poly), the bushings will stay quiet for 3 days then squeak. I'm gonna try some thick axle grease next time, hopefully the noise will stop.
When I first test drove the LCA's, I felt like I was floating on air, the car felt so much more stable. Road noise, like was stated, does increase but, can be dealt with.

Got the Steeda's But the Adjustable Lowers&uppers :nice:
CNC'd so no weld's to worry about.

They handle great. Now on to the frontend. Like to get a aftermarket kmember into mine to lighten up the frontend? Come'on Lottery

I run these arms, and although they made a world of difference, I would be more than happy to switch to something MUCH quieter. I've done a million things to stop these from squeaking to no avail. With my locker paired up with these huge tires, whenever I make slow, tight turns, the wheels scrub a bit and make my control arms chirp like crazy. It makes me feel like my car's a creaky old battleship.

I think the fact that you are running a locker too has to factor into the equation. The spherical ends don't have any give and when taking turns, the tires have nowhere to go since they are trying to spin at the same speeds. Where the LCA's tightened with vehicle weight on them? That might cause some squeaking too..

Granatellis - cheap, effective, and good re-greasable bushings. 30k miles on them, no probs, and I cut a 1.8 60ft with an automatic, stock stall, DR's, and 3.73's. If you're throwing a lot of power at the rear, I'd go with something beefier, though.
