While driving home from work I stopped at a light then made a turn when it turned green. Halfway through the turn the car died. Thinking I did something stupid I restarted it only for it to die again. I got it going again and looked down and saw the gas gage read empty and the Low Fuel light was on. It had half a tank when I went into work and started to wonder if someone hadn't siphoned my tank. As I went further down the road the gas gauge started to go up and the Low Fuel light went off. By the time I got home it was up to almost a quarter. I decided to go past my house and to the gas station down the street. I put just over 2 gallons in it ($5) just to see what it would do and it went up to just over half a tank, right where it should be. What could cause that to happen? It was about 39 degrees outside so I don't think the gas could have been frozen. Anyone have any ideas?
