what could i get out of...

there is a turbo coupe sitting in some guys driveway about 3 houses up from mine. The thing hasnt moved in a good month and a half, do u think its worth me asking him for it or not? Is there many things i could take off of it as in suspension to put directly on my 89lx? what all can i part off of it to make mine an all around better performer?

Hell, won't hurt to ask the guy. He might sell it to you cheap.
For the suspension, you can take pretty much everything off it...the front brakes are 11 inchers, and the rear is an 8.8 with disc brakes and either 3.55 or 3.73 gears (depending on whether it's a stick or an auto).

Plus, you can use the whole drivetrain.

do any of you know of anything else out of a tc i could swap, and is the transmission the same in auto turbocoupe as in a auto lx mustang?

pretty much everything on the car will fit. I think even the fenders woulf fit if you wanted them to.
whatever looks bigger is what I would swap. then again depends on the condition of the car. If the TC was in good condition I would just leave it as is and have fun with that, TC's were built to cruise and then perform when the driver wanted to get agressive. a little more weight but its alright when it comes to comfort.

come on now the thunderbird has been an ugly car ever since they changed from the original body theme Get that sucker and rip out the motor and suspension. Your mustang will love u for it.

I hope i can get it, my parents arent so happy about the idea. I have some money but they just dont want it sitting around. I only am in high school, but i dont see why my parents dont support me on this. They just want me to be able to get around, they probably just dont want me in a faster mustang then the already practically worthless N/A 2.3

forget the lx fix the turbocoupe and run it
