A local guy got his hardtop vert cobra totaled a few months ago. I think he got like 12.5 from the ins. co. and then bought it back with getting it fixed for like 5-6k.

It was bone stock with 100k+ miles and just repainted a few weeks before it happend.

A buddies brother had a 94 gt 5spd that was fairly ratted out with fadded red paint, primer showing threw, rusty exh. tips, broken drivers seat, ripped seats, stained seats and well over 175k. It was totaled in this winter and he got 5 or 6k.

I would say an avg. mile clean 5spd GT would go for 5k easy. Depends on the market and timing...gas prices this time of year (memorial weekend) are going to be a killer. The spring time before the gas hike is the best bet, but prob. also half ass good until the 4th of July...but the dead of summer is going to be hard IMHO.

I'm with Duncan - it's all about condition and the market. Then you gotta find some nutball (like us) who really wants one of these things.
If the avg DB has the cash for a nearly 15 year old car, he will put a down payment on something new instead.

Anyhow, best of luck with it!

The market thing is very true, in the mid west you cant get a decent deal on any at all hardly. They want to try to get 6-7 for a car w/ 130k no mods, not even very nice, alot of the time.
$4k should move it I would think. You have anything done to it (or is it the one in your sig)? I'd start maybe 4700 and see what you get offered. Just my worthless .02

A lot depends on your market, the color of the car, and timing. When I listed my car the first time, I got almost zero interest. When I relisted it a few weeks later, I got a half dozen calls in the first 24 hours. Part of it in my case was the color -- yellow. Love it or hate it, there is no indifferent opinion. People who want it ... want it bad.

All that said... I got $5500 for it, 113K miles, with some miscellaneous mods (none particularly noteworthy or expensive). Great condition, but yellow .

When I sold my 95 GT I got $7,200 for it. 130,000 miles Paxton supercharger, Magnaflow exhuast, BBK H pipe, BBK headers, Cobra intake, Pro-M 80MM Mass air meter, new black carpet, Steeda ultra lite II rims, Cervin's front bumper, Saleen 351 wing. Dyno tunned 340RWHP 350RWTQ

Sure Im forgetting a few things but thats the bulk of it.

I paid $4700 for my 'vert. Fully loaded, styling bar, 102K miles, and one of the rear windows didn't roll down.

Every other '94/'95 I looked at though was like $6K-$7K asking; but most were lower mileage(70K-80K) 'verts.

Just look at Autotrader in your area and see what the asking prices are like. Whoever looks at your car, is gonna be looking at those other cars too.

for some reason the blue book is really low on our cars. Last time I looked I think it said my car was worth $3800. But when a deer hit me the insurance said it was worth around 7 grand. I dunno how? They def. wouldn't sell for that though. Good luck with it.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
