I'm thinkin about adding 4.10s for my next mod. I hear a lot of good things about 4.10s but what do they really add for performance? How much would u say they take off your 0-60 time?

4.10's will help ALOT!!!! Most people see between 3-5 tenths off their 1/4 mile ET's. Not sure how much you would expect to see of your 60ft. The 4.10s are what you want if you want to be thrown back in your seat shifting as fast as you can blink. Your gas milage will go down a little and daily driving with the shorter extra shifts can be annoying after a long hard day at work sometimes but overall the only thing I would trade them for is 4.30's.

They add acceleration. Your RPM's will climb faster, and they will ride at an RPM a little higher than your stock gears. Like a lot of people have said before, 1st gear is like super 1st, 2nd like 1st, 3rd like 2nd, 4th like 3rd, and 5th like 4th gear. I don't know how much it takes off exactly but you will notice a difference.

Depending on how you drive, and what tires you have, you may actually raise your 0-60 time. Driven effectively, you will tell quite a difference. As far as exact numbers, I don't know. I did too much at one time and couldn't get to the track after every mod.

They make the car more fun to drive. Depending on what gear you have now, the 4.10 will have a different effect. I went from 2.73 to 4.10s big difference, now you may have 3.27 gears, will still make a big difference but not a dramatic.

If i was you I would go with 4.30's Its only like 150 rpm difference from the 4.10's in 5th. I know you said you have an auto so you might want to see what the rpm difference is with an auto. I have a 5- speed and wish I would have got 4.30's. As far as performance there was a difference but I wasn't all that impressed and I went from 3.27's to 4.10's, and yes you have 3.27's in your auto. Hope this helps.

The answer to your performance question is: yes. You will see a huge performance difference, IF you can plant the rears The winter temps causing cold pavement and cold rubber are killing me. I, too, drive auto, and roast the rears at will through first and second by simply flashing the converter at launch, even with Nitto's. Seven-second burnouts cure this.

Freeway driving is a blast, shifting from OD<->3rd<->2nd with small 1/4-inch increments of throttle, WOT for on-ramps when needed easily takes you into the 90's if you stay in the throttle too long (VERY easy to do).

I highly recommend 4.10's, but you will have trouble hooking up during red-light launches when you flash the converter. Don't fear the gear.
