I have a 65 T code with a 250 in it, just rebuilt C4, CA car with great body and no rust. I also have a 65 C code with an A code engine just rebuilt, auto tranny, front disc, rear drum, pony interior, wood grain, etc on the way to being a GT350 clone. Problem is that the C code has some rust issues in the usual places ( rear quarters, trunk drop and rear frame rails). Should I take the T code code body and make it the GT350 clone and place the 200/250 components into the C code body. I have already ordered the sheet metal and frame rails. My thought is that a body without repairs is worth more after all is done. What are your thoughts?

If done properly the repaired car is worth as much as the other one. You just get less return on your investment. Just weigh the cost of time and effort swapping everything vs. doing the body.

It depends on how good you are at body work.

Thanks.
Unless you're doing concours, does the vin# really matter anymore? Will the C code vin be worth more than the T code vin if they had the exact A code GT clone setup?
