what do i look for?

my car was stalling periodically then it got real bad to the point that everytime i stopped or slowed down the car would die or even just sitting at idle it would sputter and die....I thought it could be the stator or PIP in the distributor, so i replaced that, and now my car wont even start...I checked the timing and everything is fine but it just wont start up...it cranks and cranks but no luck...any ideas what i should check?

Just went and bought a new distributor and ICM, dropped in the dist. and the car started first try but I have to adjust the timing bc its running like crap right now...should I go ahead and replace the ICM for the hell of it or just take it back and get the money?

after adjusting the timing the car is running 1000x better than it did before all this started...idles perfectly smooth...probably partially from the seafoam i used right after i got it running good...that stuff smoked like hell for about 10 mins and then the car runs great...IMO a very good product
