I am putting in a new motor but not sure what to do. I want at least 600rwhp on a daily driver. I was thinking about a 5.0 or 5.1L stroker kit with a T trim. I'm just not sure on what I need to make it reliable?

Well, if you're going with the blower right off the bat, then go with the lower compression ratio. It will allow you to spin the blower a lot harder while resisting detonation in the process. I’d personally skip the stroker idea and just go with a good forged rebuild. You’ll see 600rwhp with that, a nicely worked set of heads, some supporting pieces (on both the intake and exhaust side) and a healthy amount of airflow from a T-trim or Novi 2000.LS2 KLR said:I just talked to VT and was told a forged 5.0 shortblock with billet oil pump gears will run me $4k. Anyone know if I should go with 8.4 or 9:1 compression?
I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion. Nothing is more street friendly that a positive displacement blower. Either way, I would go the Centrifugal route and do it cheaper still. But that's just me. I don't drool over the KB's like others do.Orr89rocz said:kenne bell kits go for 5400bucks for the blowzilla which is what your gonna need toget that power. not bad, but still not as street friendly as the turbo kits
