What do I need to get into the 10's?

Doing it with a 302 N/A on a budget is going to be impossible. The NMRA Pure Street class run stock stroke (310cid or less) and are cracking into the 9's I belive. Thier cars are a) very light b) lots of traction c) not on a budget d) not street cars. If you have ever seen a car run 10's, that is f'in fast, especailly for a street car. Now, if you do a H/C/I, throw on a shot, with traction, you could probally hit 11's.

^^Yeah, I prefer motor too!! A N/A 302/306/331/347 would be awesome on the street. If someone ask what your mods are, just tell them H/C/I....then toast 'em when they underestimate you.

;)

Now we're understanding each other!

Building 10 second power isn't all that tough with the right parts, actually getting it to hook and run the number is the tough part. A 120 ish trap speed is enough to potentially run a 10.90.

Money buys parts... Knowledge makes it fast!! His goal is a little high for his present knowledge... I agree with above.. look for the 14's... then the 12's.... then 11's and then the 10s !! ORRrrrr.... open up the pit and start tossing money in!! Cool??

Just me..............................
