Ok, I am debating on what kind of power adder I want to go with... I am really kinda clueless on what I want to do. But the main question I have is what is the best supercharger to go with? I have a stock motor except LT headers and B303 cam. Do the supercharger kits really come with everything you need? And is there anything I should know about when it comes to installing one? In all the articals they all say " install in one day" but I have been down that road before. So I am just wondering what I am getting myself into if I decide to go with the supercharger. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated... Thanks

Well if you are looking for an entry level SC you can go with a Novi1000 or a Vortech SCtrim. 5-6lbs of boost. They are a complete kit as for what you would need to install the SC. In addition to the kit you could get a Boost and Fuel gauge, a bigger fuel pump. A tune would be a wise move as well. As far as the installation goes others on the board would have to help you out on that.

Need to know, that they are a blast!!

But back to the question,, depending on the shape of you bottom end will determine the amount of boost you can get away with. Definatley want to upgrade the fuel pump and possibly the injectors. One thing a blower will do, is find the weak spots in a motor when you start getting around 10 pounds of boost.

If your motor is in decent shape, I say go with the Novi 1000. A buddy has it on a 347 and is making 12-13#'s boost with the stock blower pulley and Vortech renegade crank/blower pulley. Before the 347 he did have it on a stock motor with F-cam, GT-40 intake and was running mid 12's easy.

With a stock motor and the Novi 1000 with its stock pulley set-up, you should see about 8-9#'s of boost.

I'd personally change the heads and intake vs. a blower. You can have a reliable engine w/ a blower if its tuned right, but heads and intake will make plenty of power and be hella reliable.
