Since you already have a new built motor in your cobra why keep it unless you plan on using it in a project car later on down the road. Part it out, sell the whole thing, or you could always keep it and use it as a very expensive coffee table

So...obvious question, Why didn't you just fix/upgrade the original motor? I got a flat tire on my car, and you know what? I didn't think I needed to replace the rims, brakes, and rear end.

Seriously. Do you turn your own wrenches?

you could do what i am doing, i have a forged engine now since i blew up the stock one, i putnew pistons in the stock one and am keeping that so if i ever sell the car i can swap in the stock engine and sell the forged one which will still get a solid amount of cash.

You can always sell the heads/intake to someone looking to do a swap. If you are going to rebuild the shortblock you will probably have to get the block magnafluxed and verify that the cylinders aren't scored too deeply. You should balance the costs to repair the block against the value of the motor when you are done.
