What do you guys think of this flywheel?

Looks to be of good quality, but want to make sure what people think before I buy it. $235 I can handle....but I dont want to pay $350 for an aluminum one. Thanks (one thing I dont see is if its SFI approved )

Save 115 bucks and take the chance of having a flywheel explode on your first hard shift into 2nd gear and throw some nice pieces of metal into your legs and feet.

or buy a well known flywheel and KNOW that its SFI approved. im not a fan of lightweight flywheels unless a scattershield is used no matter who makes it but i would feel much safer running something like a fidanza over jimbo's ebay special.

I was looking around, and according to Summitt....the aluminum Fidanza 6 bolt flywheel isnt SFI approved either . I could have sworn it was .

I think im going to buy the one off EBAY if the guys email me back answering my questions.


But thanks for the comment, it was *John picard* Noted *john picard* lol. Any other comments or personal experiance is appreciated.

i dont like all the holes in that flywheel!!! my fidanze was solid. i would not buy that one!! save the extra and get the fidanza. you never know when that ebay one will burst and parts are sent flying into your leg!
the only reason that is lighter than the factory one is b/c it has a ton of holes drilled into it. this one is what i have
good flywheel

Yeah, I wouldn't buy that one. Save some money and get one that you know people have used and that are good. Would probally save you some headaches down the road.

id pass on that one and get a fidanza. ive been more than happy with mine

I dont know if i would trust that "holey" flywheel on a stock gt, let alone a twin turbo one.

Well I guess I'm the exception to the rule but I bought my XTD ALuminum flywheel off ebay for $199 and it IS SFI approved(have the sticker and everything). It has that similiar "holey" design. I regularily run the engine to 6300 rpm when racing with no issues what so ever AND i feel safe doing it.

Note: SaleenGT...I assume your is an early 2001? that link was to an 8 bolt flywheel...but thanks for the link none the less . I had seen it, but I have a 6 bolt .

oops i meant to link the 6 bolt one. but you bought the exact one i have. you will notice that you can rev a lot quicker with the new one

Thanks bud that 6 bolt wasnt listed...I had to search around in the store for it .

Im not easily convinced to change what I want...but you guys got me thinking and changed my mind LOL. Normally when I ask for a comparo, I already know what I want HAHA, but JUST IN CASE ask on the forums anyways

I picked up a new Spec Aluminum flywheel for $71 on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. Got lucky I guess, cause no one else bid on it.

Yes you did LOL....no such deals on when I looked . The fidanzas were starting off @ like 320 . Summittracing was $371!
