The Powerdyne blower isn't very popular with this crowd, as they've only been in the Modular scene for a couple of years. You'll get more feedback with regards to the quality of the unit itself, from some of the 5.0L crowd. Regardless of what some say, take most comments with a grain of salt. A lot of the responses you'll get will be bias to a particular brand of blower over all others. I've noticed that when it comes to commenting on a product that some of these individuals are unfamiliar with, speculation seems to fill in the blank spots, rather than fact, so be sure to careful weed out the real responses, from the bull**** ones.

The truth about the Powerdynes are....early models had internal belt issues, mostly due to owners over spinning them. Either way, this has since been addressed and these blowers will run as long as any other provided that you don't try to push it past it's physical limitations. They're nearly silent, which is great if you're looking for that "stealthy" approach. They're low maintenance and an easy install and only require regular oil changes since the units themselves are self contained like any Positive Displacement unit or some ATI models. This also provides for easy installation, which is important if you're not one of the most mechanically inclined people you know. If moderate power levels are what you're after, then they'll provide a nice kick in the pants jump in power, but won't compete head to head with any of the other centrifugals.

If I were in the market for a Centrifugal, true be told I’d probably pick something else. Not necessarily because this isn’t a good brand or model, but because I’m in both a financial and mechanical position currently to utilize a higher end blower that provided more performance than that Powerdyne will offer.

If I were on a limited budget, not the most mechanically inclined and would be satisfied with power levels in the high-200/low-300 rwhp range, this is probably the unit id choose.
