what does the ignition switch look like

im getting a new ignition switch cuase my turn signals and blower motor quit working
is this what it is ?

will i need to get a new key.. it seems wierd that this is the solution for the problem but whatever. thanks

No, that's not your ignition switch. That is simply your key mechanism. The ignition switch is down in the steering column.

that pic is of the lock cylinder. the ignition switch was a recall item, IIRC. might get a free one if it has not been fixed already.

Sorry, no pic. The ignition switch is attached low on the column by two hex safety bolts (allen bolt with a little raised knub inside) If you look under the column, the switch is the block with a whole bunch of wires going into it. It looks like metal on one side and plastic on the other. If you ask for one at the parts counter, they'll give you the right thing. The problem with these is that the place where the plastic is crimped onto the metal comes loose and the connection is lost. A new switch will fix your problem for sure. Good luck!

got the ignition switch today at pep boys and it fixed my problem thanks guys
