What electric fans are you running

Well, this isn't what you want, but I have some information. I will be running a fan from a 3.8L Taurus (I think mine was in a '92). It took a while searching the junkyards, but since I enjoy going to the junkyard I didn't mind. The price was also right at $25. :D

Here's a link to a web site explaining one way to install the fan. I don't subscribe to the quick easy philosophy of sticking things through the radiator to attach the fan, however. I think it would be well worth anyone's time to spend a bit planning and fabricating some metal brackets instead.

I believe the Taurus fan is a two speed unit capable of 2000 cfm. Should be plenty for my 351C that I will be installing. I also plan on using a Jeg's universal Ford radiator. I measured my '70, and it looks like it will fit fine to me.

I hope that helps you.

I don't know the CFM, but I'm running the Hot Rod Air electric fan from Mustangs Unlimited... $249.00 and a 3 core stock type radiator, one my '66. I had all kinds of heat problems before this upgrade and now it only gets to halfway between the cold mark and the normal (halfway) mark. I'm pretty happy with this combo and it gets pretty hot in Georgia!

I also use water-wetter...

I'm doing the same thing. I picked mine up at a half price sale for $10. This was also the day I found $200 under the sheepskin covers of an 87 Supra. I got the seats, serpentine setup off a Lincoln, and the fan off of a Sable and pocketed $140! LOL

this fan didn't work on my car. 69-351w. i even trimmed down the with of the fan with my dremmel. there isn't enough room between the radiator and the waterpump pulley, it rubbed. there are dozens of these cars at the yard too. i got mine for $12 at the junk-yard too. it is a 2 speed fan much like the mark8's fan that all the camero guys use. it initialy draws a large amperage, but after that it isn't so bad.

I think I met you at Mustangs at the Queen Mary show this year...

That 17" radiator limits you quite a bit. You should consider moving into a bigger radiator to cool that monster! Then move to the fan!!!
