I'm not a Cobra or Eaton owner, so I really don't know, but I read it all the time where guys get their Eaton ported. What exactly are they porting??

Also if they port an Eaton, can they also port a KB since they are pretty much similar in shape? Because I've never heard of a ported KB...

I'm a Centri man....

They open up the outlet in the bottom of the case. I think the KB's are designed where they are already upened up as far as they can go, but I'm not positive on that.

porting an eaton does several things, but the main one is to increase inside displacement and shape/round the entry and exit areas of the blower to limit turbulance in the blower housing. doing this increases the cases flow rate and allows for better power... kinda like porting heads.

you can NOT port a KB for several reasons. 1 it voids the warranty, 2 the case is as thin as posible to increase internal displacement from KB, and 3 all the ports are designed already for a specific flow rate... alterations throw off the balance and will cause harm to the design and efficiency. there was a thread in modular fords forum in the KB section about it.
