I'm running magnaflows on my 94gt & I really like them.
Not much drone at all while normal driving & they sound really good when into the throttle.

Really it fits that bad ?....when you say fitment issues you mean it hits things?

I'd run a dyno max system or a Flowmaster kit. They usually fit well and are a known commodity. I've never ran Mac products so I have no insight into fitment. That video chuck posted sounds real nice though.

Yes, Every mac kit I've had my hands one has taken a TON of time to adjust and get close to right.

With that said I recently purchased a flowmaster kit and it had some major fitment/quality issues. I think I just get lucky and get the dunce kits. (My muffler exits were not expanded enough to fit the tail pipes in).

But even a bad fitting flow kit is still leaps and bounds ahead of the Mac kit I had on my mach 1. I gave up on it eventually and had an exhaust shop chop and weld stuff to make it fit. The sound of the Mac made it all worth it.

They're multi-piece, fully adjustable, which sounds good on paper, but then you drop the h for some reason and all of a sudden the tailpipe is rubbing a tire. Complete pita.

I concur. Had a Mac 2 1/2" cat back on my last Fox body and fitment sucked. Almost impossible to get it right. Had to finally do some "tweaking".

Otherwise, sounded great....nice and throaty.....very much like the old Flowmaster 40-series. It also droned obnoxiously between that 1,800-2,200RPM range like all chambered mufflers do as well.

I'm currently running Borla ProXS mufflers in my system and couldn't be happier.

My car is an SN95. For what it's worth, I pieced together my own catback using tailpipes from LMR (the stainless 1979-1997 tails), Flowmaster 40s, and 2.5" Walker flow tubes. The fit wasn't 100% perfect, but I attributed that to the MAC h-pipe I used. A professional install was out of the question as it would be ridiculously expensive over here. I made do and got everything to fit very nicely without any welding and just some slight cutting. The fit of the LMR tailpipes is fantastic (the SN95 hanger locations and body dimensions are identical to the fox bodies with the exception of different style rear hangers on 1998-2004 cars) and even have hangers welded near the mufflers which eliminate the need to weld hangers directly to the mufflers. My only gripe is that I couldn't get the passenger side pipe entirely straight without the rear hanger contacting the bumper support slightly. But it's not that big a deal as I can trim the hanger a bit and get it to fit perfectly (I've been lazy and have yet to do so; I've wedged some cardboard in there until I get around to trimming it).

This is what I would recommend if you are adventurous enough to piece it all together yourself. Otherwise, I would recommend a Dynomax kit as they're made by Walker (an OEM supplier) and typically have no fitment issues. I'm a Flowmaster fan, which is why I didn't go this route.

Edit: Just realized that you have a GT. The LMR pipes wouldn't fit. :/

Ive been eyeing one of those on summit, just dont know if i want to spend the coin on it. Im tired of having to keep adjusting the mac every time I pull a header or hpipe off to fix something.
