I have a 65 fastback with a 9" Versailles rear end. Does anyone know how much fluid I'll need? Also, what weight? I'm leaning twards Redline or Amsoil as I have friends that sell both.
You'll require approx 2 liters of 90W gear oil if it's a conventional design or locker. If it's limited slip, you may have to add some friction modifyer depending on the unit..
I use High performance Valvoline 80W-90 for my locker. Thats what the shop I got the locker from suggested I use in it. It's good for high torque, horsepower, speed.
