You'd really raise it to 16* ? How much octane for that then ?
I thought you did that, thought it ran better, went on the dyno and made your biggest gain on 10* ? Pretty sure it's you but could be wrong..
That's because I was using a tweecer which needs to be at the stock setting (10*). I adjusted the timing through the tweecer and it came out to a comparable 16*-18*.

I have my timing set at 10* but I got the EEC Tuner and I added 4* so I'm running 14*. To confirm, you then made your biggest power at 16*-18* ?
What gas are you running ?
I run 91 or 93, but I had to run 89 this past weekend because I was in BFE and there was no detination or loss of power. I would get on the dyno or go to test-n-tune because your butt can only feel so much, but it is cheap
You really want to run the least octane possible without pinging. You can play with the timing, and that will change things (more is not always better, BTW), but if you're running 91 now and don't change anything, 94 will not help -- may even slow you down.
