Hey Experts (or guys that just know more than me):
I searched the threads and didn't really find anything to answer this question. For my summer project, I'm hoping to rebuild my '89 ex-GSP coupe and turn it into a nice and possible daily driver. I definitely want it to sound good, look good, and run good, but I'm not too too worried about any track times with this combo, considering some of my choices may take away form torque. Generally, my plans are:

306, Trickflow TW heads, possibly F303 cam (.512 lift), BBK shorties, Victor 5.0 upper and lower EFI intake (this is where I'll lose my torque, but I like short runner intakes), 70mm TB, CAI, 73mm MAF, and was planning on 24# injectors. Ignition will include MSD 6A box and Performance Distributors' kit to upgrade wires, stock distr., etc. What size fuel pump will I need? Will the 24# injectors be sufficient with this combo (8.7:1 or 9:1 compression)? Also, will a A/F ratio meter be accurate enough when tuning the fuel psi with an adjustable fuel reg.?

Thanks in advance!

-Clifton

Sorry, one more thing:
Are stock fuel rails good enough?
Thanks,
Clifton

You don't mention the compression ratio but the 24# should be fine, 30# may also work. I'd suggest a larger MAF if you don't already have one, although the 73mm will work fine, just rob a few ponies.

I'd go with a 190lph fuel pump, the A/F ratio gauges aren't really that accurate if you are trying to use them as a tuning tool. They will tell you in your are lean/rich, just not exactly how much. The AFPR is a good idea and will be needed with your combo. Stock fuel rails are fine until you get in the 500hp range...

190 is great w/the 24's. I agree about the bigger MAF. You might want a 75 or 76mm

Thanks a bunch guys. I will definitely reconsider the MAF, but 73 has been used on cars running in the 10's (I'm not worried bout my et), hence they have more power than I plan to have, and the 73 is also much larger than stock, correct? 75 or 76 MAF will probably be swapped into the plans. Thanks again.
