I'm finishing at the top end of 4th gear with 3:55 gears and 26" tires I'm shifting with the shift light set at 5500. I'm thinking that I might do better with 3:27 or 3:08 gears. I like to see where others are running and what gear are they finishing in.

Some taller tires might be a better investment than different gears. Keep the 26" tires for street use and have some very sticky taller tires for the track. The soft rubber won't last long with street driving, but will do wonders for your track times.

what's your trap speed and what rpm are you going through at? also what are your 60fts?

have you ever had the car dynoed to find out where your powerband is?

I use to run a 5 speed, thru 4th gear with 3.73's and 26's at 6100

Now I use a C4 going through at 6300 with 3.73's and 27" slicks. 10.6 @ 125

I'll be running 28" drag radials this year to bring my rpm down a bit

true but I ran pretty high pressure in my slicks 16-17psi compared to most

and I used Hoosier QTP which were a very stiff sidewall compared to ther slicks I've used. So I'm planning on a slight decrease going with 28" DR's
