what gears do i have?

hey everyone. i gotta 98 gt aod and i am sure the previous owner had different gears put in.when i am going 95-100 mph the tach is right at 4000.just wondering if anyone can give me an idea whats in there.thanks

it sounds like you might have 4.56s in the rear-end. look here to try for yourself. When i put in 100mph and 4000rpm (assuming you have 245s and 17" wheels) it came out with 4.56 gears. I know ford racing makes a ring and pinion in that ratio (look on jegs.com) so its possible you have them.
