Ok I have a friend that spun the tire and I swear the ds only spun ~1 3/4 turns...i was told that I may have messed up and it spun 2 3/4 times which would make sense because than that would be the stock 2.73.....But I wound out 4th gear and It only went to about 110mph....maybe a little over but deff not over 115. I read another post of a guy saying his 4th gear went to ~130mph...

My other friend with a w/c t-5 has 4.10 and was trapping about 113-114 in 4th gear.....I ran a 96 Gt 5-speed with 4.10's and he went into 4th wayyy before I was in 4th. I think I was only at like 4000-4500 rpms in 3rd when he went into 4th gear....I'm so lost:nonono:

Well thats why I'm asking...If its the stock gears they are 2.73's....which I don't think they are. I was told that I would be able to wind out 3rd over 100mph...My third gear go's to about 85-90 mph and 4th to about 110-115.....

I'm so lost I havent a clue, i tried to spin the the tire to see how much the drive shaft spins and like I said somthing I did was wrong...Pretty much I just want to know if I can find out what rear gear I have by the mph in each gear...

Awsome man thank you a lot. I'm about 99% sure my car has a 3.55 rear gear in it. I thought somthing had to be up because it just feels a lot faster than a stock geared notch should be....I will know for sure soon because I'm going to the 1/4 track on tuesday if the weather is ok.

according to the first one with a 3.55 gear at 110 mph I should be at about 5258 rpms with my tires witch are about 25 inches tall. They are 245/50/15 and I measured them in at just a hair under 25"...

Yeah I'm pretty happy now, that would explain why I can't hook for anything in 1st even with fresh 245's. hmm I wonder what the car will run, do you think 13.9's are wayy out of reach?

With the control arms and cat back in your sig I would say probably not, but a little work and it is easily attained with yor car. My guess would be in the 14.3 or 14.4 range? Anybody else have an idea.

Cool anything under a 14.5 and I'm a happy camper.....I have a o/r h-pipe, shorty headers, and a a/c delete kit comming this week. I'm going to run the car this week with the mods in my sig on tuesday and then when I get my parts I'm going to take it back. I want to see if there are any improvements over the factory headers and the nasty h-pipe...

Every little bit helps. And for the price I could not go wrong, The cat-back was $310 to my door, the headers and h-pipe where $210 to my door..Trying to make some improvements with out killing my wallet..

e-bay and summit racing both being brand new. I know the headers and h-pipe i got are not the best of brands but the way I look at it is they will be a lot better than what is on the car. This is just to improve the sound of the car and if I can free up some hp for the price I could not pass it up. I'm still in college and after I get out my present to me will be getting this car completely redone.....paint, motor, trans, rear end, everything.....

Cool man, I still find things to do to my car even without spending a dime and next thing I know it is several hours later. I don't mind just crawling around it cleaning and taking something off to paint it or just make it look better.

Yeah when the weather gets better and school is out in 4 more weeks, I will have a LOT more time to do free improvements to the car. But for now I decided it was way to quiet with the stock catback so I decided to get the mac. My friend with a 96 has it on his car along with the o/r h, it makes me melt when he starts it up..Mine is a 5.0 and I thought it sounded wayy to wimpy before..

Have you ever taken your car to the 1/4 mile strip? I have been there 3 times before with my old car last summer. I MISSS it sooo much...but I don't miss paying to keep it on the road....sure was quick though..I decided to get somthing that was at my level and I could actually afford parts for it....hell the corsa cb I bought for my old car was $550 used, new it would have cost me close to $1K....forget that...
