What gears for 2004 GT Auto?

i think he might just expect too much... the final gear ratio should be the same... also there is a HUGE diffrence, my car will run with stock 99+ gts now, and there is NO way a stock auto 96 gt would be even close... also the top speed will be higher with gears, because GTs are drag limited, so the steeper gear will get teh car more into the powerband allowing it to propel the car faster

I've had 4.10's in my old GT....They don't do any good at all if you don't have a stall converter. Trust me on this. I ran my car before and after the gears were in, and it actually went from a 9.00 to a 9.1 in the 1/8th. Don't get 4.10's unless you're getting a stall with an automatic.

What year was your last GT. I thought all the newer GT's auto transmission is controlled by the computer and all you wil need is a programmer to calibrate your computer for 4.10's. Alos I believe that stall converters were used for the old AOD transmissions and not the AODE that are used in late model GT's
