So, there’s this hole that is obviously supposed to have something in it, but I don’t know what it would be to search for it. 89 GT convertible. I would look at the passenger door, but I can’t open it right now! And it could be missing too!

Seat belt retractor plunger thing. That's a highly technical description...lol.

There is normally a plunger there that works with the seat belt retractor. You have to open the door to get the seat belts to rewind and tighten up.

I put a rubber grommet in mine. Didn't change anything.

My seatbelt won't retract, was thinking it may be a bad plunger. But hearing the rubber grommet didn't change anything is making me think it isn't the plunger.
