You're gonna need what's called thermactor plugs. 2 should have come with the heads. You're gonna need them in all 4, front and rear on both heads. The front are needed so you can mount your accessory brackets to it. The rear are needed to block off the smog ports. You can get them at ford or summit.

EDIT: Oh yea, it's the big hole

You can just use bolts to block the rear ones. But for the front you gotta have something that reduces the thread size to whatever size your accessory bolts are. Ford might have them in stock, you could call them. I don't think Discount Auto will carry them.

Not what you wanna hear, but you can make some block-off plates....The 2 in the front are for those holes...
I would think HD would have some kinda plug/cap you can install...bring a bolt with you and homey something... :D

they dont lead to nowhere,if you look at the top of the exhaust ports, inside you will see little holes.they are for the smog stuff so the pipes that is supposed to be on the back of the heads can blow air into the exhaust for emissions.it helps the cats get a better burn.if you do not block them you will have exhaust coming out of them.the thermactor plugs cost like 3 bucks at summit.

I bought mine new still in the box, and they came with only 2 plugs, and they weren't installed. Could you get us a closeup of the holes? If they are already in there, there should be a slot cut into the top of the plug, like where you could stick a really wide screwdriver into to tighten them in.
