What in the?! Stupid electrical problem

Hey everyone. I'm having a problem with my '94 Cobra that really makes no sense at all.

Ok, so the car had a Professional Products TB on it. Today I got a stock TB and put it on. Now, when I probe the black wire on the TPS to check for voltage with my meter (using the negative battery terminal as a ground with my black lead) the high speed fan is coming on and I get no reading on the meter. None of the other TPS wires are reading any voltage at all either. A few days ago before I put the stock TB on, I had no problems reading the TPS voltage with my meter.

Doesn't make sense does it?!

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

BTW, it's not throwing any codes that would be causing this, and even if I unplug the TPS and probe the black wire on the connector, the fan still turns on. WTF?

I was thinking about going and picking up a new TPS just to swap out and see what happens. Not sure it'll do much though.
