Personally i always liked the power of the victor jr. intakes. The carb all depends on your intentions. Holley makes a good power but are a pain to get adjusted. Never had luck with edelbrock and always heard good things about the Demon cars. Maybe someone with more knowledge on carbs will chime in. But definately victor jr. intake!! Oh yeah keep in mind that this is a small block and you can have too much carb. I'd keep it below 700 cfm IMO. Good luck!

That really is not enough motor to take advantage of what the Vic Jr will do, the Stealth and a 600-650 is a perfect match, mech secondaries preferred. I also prefer Holley carbs over the E'brocks and the BG Demons...

Is this a street car? Daily Driver?

A TFS 1 would be a good cam if its a DD- street car. It is a much better cam then a "B" cam IMO.

a 650 cfm would be plenty. i have really enjoied my wiend stealth intake. Just a thought a blow through supercharger/turbo carb are close to the same price as regular carb's. Just a thought if you ever want to go that way down the road. Look into it. I don't know if there are any issues running those carbs on N/A engines. Barry grant makes a nice one.

Thanks, The BT series blow through carbs will not run on a NA motor. They have a lot more circuitry in them and move more fuel due to the needs of the bonnet vs the enclosure. The GC series carbs will run both NA and boosted however if plans are to use the enclosure. Hope this helps.

On the 306 we would use the 575 cfm carb. If you duration is under .240@50 you can use the Speed series and if it is over .240 the Mighty series. If plans are to add a supercharger or turbo later then go ahead and get the Mighty series up front to save some money.

I would vote for a Holley 600 to 650cfm and a stealth.

i have an f cam with a perforformer rpm and a 650 speed demon it is a real good setup. i had a holley on it then put the bg on it was night and day difference. my et's improved all most a full sec. just with the beter carb. the holley was a street avenger 650 and it had a really bad dead spot in it that would not go away the bg is the best bang for the buck in my book
