Just put some MM CC plates on my car. The directions call for very specific camber/caster/toe settings when you have the car aligned. Can a place like Midas or NTB set my car up correctly? Where do you guys take your cars to get alignments done?
Subscribing...I have caster/camber plates...and dont' have any local performance shops to do the proper alignment...I wonder what I can tell my "aligners" to help it out...
Most shops that have an alignment rack should be able to dial in your car. I would get all the specs ahead of time from MM, and make sure the tech doing the alignment is familar with aligning mustangs with C/C plates.

im with ya. call and be sure that the tech is familiar with CC plates. also get a quote -some shops charge a bit more for the alignment if you have CC plates.
If the "alignment tech" can't figure them out, he has absolutly no buisness working on a car. Anyone who knows what the angles are and what they are doing will be glad you have CC plates. I work in a shop, I can do alignments but I don't like it, plus we have an alignment tech. I told him about these "techs" that couldn't figure them out and he said "how could anyone be soooo incredibley stupid." You should see some of the parts we have for alignments, offset ball joints, altered controll arms and tie rods, I could go on and on...
So true, I took my car to 3 places today to get it aligned again because the last place screwed it up. I think he got it aligned right, but it moved the same day. I test drove the car and it changed the same day. Anyway, the last time I had it aligned was after the MM parts install. The guy could not drive my car and really pissed me off, and when I got home my rack and pinion boot was all twisted on one side.
Today I went to a shop and the guy said his techs were not qualified to work on specialty alignments, cool with me I left. He suggested another place in town that I have heard of. This guy said he would do it for $65 plus any additional costs for problems he ran into. I told him I would be the only driver of my car. He said he would drive it, and I took his card. I wen to another place and they sent the tech to talk with me. I told him what I wanted and had the papers with me. He said no problem. Then I told him I was not giving my keys to anyone and he said fine. I drove my car onto the rack and hung out in the work area and talked with him about what was going on during the alignment. Only took 30 min. once it was on the rack, and they charged me $40. Tip the guy that does the job when you find a place like that. I do have coilovers, so its a bit more involved. You have to be sure the upper spring perch clears the lower CC plate bolt heads. I guess I am trying to say shop around a bit if you can. Good luck.
Shop around and dont, and i repeat, DO NOT hesitate to take the car back if the job is not done right. I've had instances where i've had to return the car twice because it would pull to a side or felt wrong around turns.
