Out of curiosity, what is the normal redline for a 2000 mustang gt with manual transmission. How high can you guys rev it before the engine cuts out when flooring it. Obviously we shift before this happens, but at what rpm's do your cars cut out? Mine seems high at 6500 rpm when the redline is at 5800

The peak power is lower than redline though. If you are running at the track and want the optimum performance the peak power is around 45-4800 rpms.

A chip/tune would allow your car to rev that high.
