What is a real loud exhaust setup?

I am courious as i dont see alot of treads about them. What is the kind of setup and makes people walking down the street drop their milkshake and makes the babies in strollers cry  lol
Loud isn't always good. If you’re looking for obnoxiously loud but still sound good a buddy of mine has SLP X and SLP cat back and it's loud as hell. My set up is also pretty loud but has a different kind of pist off sound to it at WOT and high RPM's while being bearable at cruising speeds. I use the word bearable loosely.

For your 70 Mustang, with Hookers, If I wanted loud, I'd just run some headers mufflers with turn downs, something like this...

Well the 70 wont be up and running again for some years as i have to take care of some body issues first. And rebuild a bad ass engine! But im looking for some setups for this 2001 i might be getting.

What about a prochamber with 40 series flows???? will this still sound good with stock manifolds.

But didn't you say in another post earlier today that your parents wouldn't co-sign the loan for this car?
OK, I'm done here...I enjoy helping people, giving advice, opinions, tech help and such, but this is kinda silly. All these people posting about a car that you don't even own.
But again, this is just my 2 cents.

o/r xpipe and 2 chamber Flows sounds great and will make people run got cover and protect their children when you come rumbling down the street!!! :hail2:

I'll second that! Of coarse long tubes and a cam will just make it nastier :nice: I use to have Dynomax mufflers and they sounded pretty mean. I've had my 2 chambers for about six months and plan on trying 1 chambers real soon.

What about a pro-chamber with spintechs? i really liek the sound of those things.

I just had an idea.......has ANYONE tried flowmasters 1 chamber mufflers??? hhrrrrmmm. off to mustang exhaust i go

I had this setup on my 98GT. I did not like it. I was running the pro-streets with the prochamber and the sound was very mellow. At WOT the sound actually sounded like it got quieter. My favorite now is the typical O/R h-pipe and the MAC flowpaths. What makes even sound better is the help of some CAMS.

i have the slp loudmouth exhaust on my 02 gt..with a upr offroad x-pipe in the trunk waiting to be installed, ( came into some install problems) but anyways..that should be loud and sound good..IMO..without thinking headers, it "DOES NOT" get louder then then Slp Loudmouth Exhaust with any type of Off Road Midpipe...1 chamber's are nothing compared to slp in loudness..why are you guys even mentioning em

IMO the 1-chambers are just noisey. They are very loud but do not have any tone to them. I had them with a o/r h-pipe and it sounded nasty (like an old chevy pickup running strickly off the manifolds) I ordered the MACs the very same day and had shipped next day air. I was embarrased to drive it in public. But that is my opinion. Different for others.
