What is the "BEST" Electric Water Pump

I was looking at the Meziere 100-300 and was wondering if the 300 (55 gpm) was too much flowage?
What would you get if you had your choice in electric pumps.

to be honest, I don't think we even have a choice in electric pumps...

I would go with a CSI pump.

Why do we need an electric waterpump to be 94/95 specific? I could be missing something, but I don't see the point.

JR - I've heard nothing but good from both CSI and Meziere. I don't think you'd need one of those heavy duty 300 gph pumps either. They probably just put a bigger strain on the electric system. I would think a 100 or 150 would be plenty, but I would check directly from either CSI, Meziere, or whoever you choose to buy from.

Gain hp from not having the parasitic loss. Oh and the big one....how about the ability to be able to cool the motor down in about 10mins with the water pump running with the motor off.

OMG that has me salivating for one now!

I have not heard of CSI but I will look into it. I'll ask what size is the best b/c I don't want to overkill anything. I saw a polished Meziere and it is

nothing but the bling bling for JR. i agree though, the electric pumps look so kick ass. one of my bosses has one on his race car and it is amazing.

I have never used an electric WP or anything.. But i thought the consensus was that electric water pumps are better for race cars then street cars?

If it turns out to be reliable for you, im going to consider one this winter.

Must be some improvements -- I've always heard that 1) they're not reliable enough for everyday street duty, and 2) they don't flow enough water to keep a street car cool. Great for a race car that does everything in short bursts...

But maybe they've made improvements to them recently. Me, I need all the flow I can get because my car runs warm as it is, so I'm keeping my mechanical pump.

lots of lt1's run elec water pumps...i know its not exactly a small block ford, but they are still street driven...and if you want it to continue to cool with the motor off, you will need to remove the thermostat and run a restrictor, otherwise you wont get it lower than the thermo temp and possibly cavitate the water
