I was just curious to find out how many (2005 + 2006) GT and V6 owners we have on the boards and if there are more GT's or V6's.

I think this comparison has pretty much been done before and the gt's won hands down.

Which makes sence because most people that mod and obsess about there cars are the gt guys.

But there ain't nothing wrong with a 6. I drool over mine daily. Long live the 6!

He is right, most motorheads are going to have a GT. A very small percentage of the people who buy the V6 Mustangs care about modifying their cars or post on these types of forums since it is just a car to them.

Is that statement based on data, or your opinion?

V6 = Weak sauce and should not be an option. IMO (sorry guys I know not everyone can afford a GT but you don't see any V6 Corvettes now do you?)

Maybe it is opinion, but it makes sense if you take into account that most Mustangs that are sold are V6s and the forums are dominated by V8s. There are tons of V6 Mustangs in my area and not a single one looks/sounds like it is modified.

I wasn't trying to make fun of the V6 guys that actually do post on the forums or modify their cars since they are obviously different then your typical V6 owner. So more power to you (I am assuming you own a V6 b/c of your reply), but it gets real old when V6 guys complain when they think a GT guy was saying they are inferior. I definately didn't mean anything negative about V6 Mustangs, I was just making a simple observation.

I agree with szlachcic on this, no matter how you pronounce your name?!?
Most mustangs on the road are V6. Most modified mustangs are GT. It makes sense without dissin' anyone.

I see many modded V6s. I cant count how many SN95 V6 Mustangs Ive seen with GT bumpers and dual exhaust.

For me, I wanted the V6 because I also wanted a new truck and Im treating myself to a custom chopper for x-mas this year. So for a 05 Stang, 04 F-150, and a chopper, thats over 60K in vehicles. I dont owe that much on my house.

I had to cut corners somewhere, so I got a V6, I bought a year old truck and got the XLT vice the Lariet, and Im buying a 1 or 2 year old bike.

Anyway, the V6 is all I need for my driving habits, I got over the "who is the fastest" thing years ago.

It is what it is...

I like what I bought because I bought what I like.

Different strokes for different folks.

I understand what you are saying and totally respect that. I just felt like you were attacking me for what I said and trying to say I was dissing V6 mustangs. I was never trying to be negative about V6 mustangs, I just said that most Mustangs that are modded are V8s.

Nope, no attacks from me. The aftermarket caters to the GT much more than the V6, so naturally you will notice many more modded GTs. The modded 6s are out there, they just arent as noticable.

Back in the mid-80s all my friends were driving IROC-Zs and Mustang GTs, I had a 72 VW Camper Van with a transaxle/350 out of a FWD Toronodo.

Did I get laughed at.....until I wound the ole bus up to 100+ out on I-5 one afternoon!
