the pcv goes into a rubber grommet, then a screen... (which is called the element in the chilton manual.) what is the part # on that screen (element)? can i get it from autozone or any place like that?

The thing to watch on the aftermarket pcv's and grommets is that the fit isn't always as snug as it should be. And a good snug fit (you ought to have to lube up the grommet and pcv a bit to slide it in) is critical to eliminate possible vacuum leaks.
