What is the weight on A 5.0 Carbon Fiber Hood

Is it worth it to buy or is it just bull ****. What do you guys think? Average weight? Thanks for your help.

an actual CF hood would weigh less than the paint that covers it, but then again an ACTUAL CF hood would cost multiple thousands of dollars.
If you see a CF hood for anything less than that is a standard steel or fiberglass hood that has a laminate on it to give it that CF look. so average hood weight.

carbon fiber is some light stuff.

i have picked up stuff not really taking into consideration it was made of CF and i also threw it into the air it was so light.

This is the only actual weight comparison of steel to carbon. Lucky for you the hood is roughly the same size and weight of a stock fox hood.
