Pull the panel. That may be where your mystery wire under the hood connects…in this case to nothing.

I have a similar button that I installed in my car.

What mine does is switch between tunes on my switch chip.

There is no way on God's Earth that I could predict what the last owner of that car had in mind. The button could be for [anything].
