what is this? under my dash

there is a few things that dont work. so its a bit tough to exactly know whats just a bad ground and what is just a bad link. the horn blows a fuse every time i honk-which i think is just a bad ground. c/c does not work - im gonna go back under and look again cause that might be it. bought car w/o radio cause rippedout/stolen - but i don't think its that. that syst was bad install too so i removed it and cleaned up the wiring last wk. it may have always been like that. could you guys check in your mustang too? thanks

i would say it is for the cruise control modual. there should also be another plug, and a little box up there. if your cruise doesn't work, that should be the reason.

the box located on the upper left wall does have all the connectors, so im at a lose of words. (black93fox) the horn and c/c are the same fuse but even when i replace the fuse and disconn the horn, the c/c still doesn't work..... frustrating :bang:

Have you tried not disconnecting the horn and then trying the c/c? I think they get there power from each other since there both in the sterring wheel.

A while back when I was doing a heater core swap and evap install I had the dash all apart.

After I put it all back together the horn and c/c would blow a fuse every time :bang: I searched under the dash and found the same plug and could not find where it goes. What it eneded up being was the clocksping in behind the steering wheel. I replaced it and everyting works fine and that plug is still hanging down so I just tucked it up out of the way.

Must be used for something at the factory or for repairs.
