It's been about six months since the install. Everything seemed fine until yesterday. Then again, I should've done something about the slight whine I've always had, even though it didn't seem like a big deal back then.
Condensation? That thing was sizzling, crackling and popping. Plus is the strange "whoosing" noise normal? I originally thought it was my rear end acting up. But I now see it's coming from this.
it could be more than just one thing, could be the exhaust getting wet and the gears. The hissing, don't worry about the grinding is another story. Rev the car a little in neutral and see what noises you hear, hopefully just a hiss, or nothing.
No, it isn't normal. I already have a bad tune on my diablo chip that sets the SES light off while causing my car to ping and detonate. Now this. My car is FAWKED!
Do the sounds you are currently hearing change with engine rpm or more with vehicle speed?
We can speculate all day on what could be possibly causing the noises but, the pinging and detonation is a definite problem. Has anything been done to adress this?
I know one thing... My car has a weird noise. When my car is under 10 mph or my convertible top is down I cant hear it... Thats why i think my annoying sound is coming from my rear... Hard to explain...
what color is the fluid on the ground? clear, brown, red, yellow? that would help a little since the pic is side angle. could very well be the AC but tbe heater core lines are also on that side at the firewall and something as simple as a pinched or dryrotted line could cause that kind of leak.
I drove it around the block today, this time with my father so he can help check it out. One thing we've noticed is the noise isn't coming from the rear. It was coming from the passenger side, front wheel area. So we decided to jack the car up and spin both front wheels. Driver's side made no noise, but when we spun the passenger side, it made that oh so familiar "whoosh" sound that Ive noticed yesterday. So I'm suspecting that is the culprit. Not exactly sure what could cause that, but I am taking the car to Ford in the morning. I might have the thing towed since I'm too afraid to cause any more potential damage.

The latter. The noise was more noticeable while cruising at slower speeds, and especially when coasting.

A bad tune on my diablo chip is causing the pinging. My car is pretty much suffering from poor gas mileage and loss of power. I was to get this looked at this Wednesday...
