I'd limit the stock block to no more than 450hp. The boss block (I assume your talking about the 302 boss) will take in excess of 900hp (I have on in my avitar).

A guy I know had one sitting in his garage. It was a NOS block sitting there for about 30 years. They are VERRRRRRY hard to come across. My machinest has only seen 2 in his life mine being one of them. This guy's also been in the field for 40+ years.

Same thing. A buddy of mine has a 70 replacement block at the shop. We compared it to my 69 block and it physically looks the same.

Don't quite get your question/comment. One way to tell if it's a boss block is if it has the screw in style casting cores (most people call these freeze plugs).

dont think is a boss block the numbers c80e-6015-a is not a boss they start with a (b) at the end not the a from what i found on boss302.com so my question would be a 1969 block better or the same as the newer 302block

Typically better. I don't think there is any exception to that. Only thing is that it's a non roller block. You can get vertical locking lifters though.
