Mods are listed below. im just wondering if i should get a small mini torque starter from summit or ebay, or just get a stock replacement one from advance.. im likin that lifetime warranty at advance, but didnt know if it wasnt worth the hassle of the big bulky thing. if youve had any bad / good experiences with the smaller versions, please feel free to let me know. Thanks in advance!

i would get the lifetime warranted stock replacement from advance and see how it does and if you don't like it or it does'nt perform proper with your setup return it for a refund. 2 bolts and 2 nuts and its removed...

I have since replaced my stocker with a 95 5.0 starter. I had to run a trigger wire from the solenoid to the starter, and move the current main wire to the battery....but it is a much better setup. My car starts much quicker than with the original, and I don't have to worry about any problems with constant power going to the starter if the solenoid dies....like it did before and burned up the old starter.

I believe it's the '91 and up starter that utilizes a planetary gear set.

I might get a mini from the aftermarket if you will keep your old starter around (and it works - in case you need it during warranty work on the mini).
If doing local, the mini starter from the parts store would be how I'd go. The 94-95 starters sound a lot nicer than the whiny fox starter too.

My weird thoughts. Good luck.
