What length sway bar endlinks do I need?

I have been working on the suspension in my 86' GT lately. While replacing the springs and struts I discovered that the sway bar end link on the passenger side is messed up. It turns but doesn't tighten beyond a point. I guess it is semi striped. Regardless I need new end links. I figured I would just buy one of the W enrgnmbviously I could take it out and measure it, but it might not go back in if I need it to. Plus I'd like to avoid getting dirty then getting in my other car. Does anyone know what length I need?

Buy a urethane endlink kit.. install it, and then cut them to the desired height. You want your sway bar to be parallel when the car is resting on the suspension.

I got the ones from Energy Suspension sitting in my backseat. Is there a certain torque spec i have to tighten the bolts to? Just enough so the bushings get some load on them maybe? Thanks

The Ford Shop Manual says to need to torque the nut 6-12 LB-Ft.

Thanks for that link. I had looked around at a few vendor sites but I had not seen one that actually listed the lengths.

And do be sure to have the suspension flat and loaded before torquing. Nice spec AS - I just go snug and a little more.

You will hear a clink as you load and unload the suspension if it is too loose.
